At the end of the cruise it is international custom give service charge to restaurant and cabin staff in recognition of good service. Passenger will receive written communication regarding this is their cabin. “For your convenience and as an indicative suggestion we have arranged for an all inclusive daily service charge of :- Mediterranean and Northern Europe cruises : - 9 days or less : 7 Euros/day per adult; 3,50 Euros/day per child (14-17 years) - more than 9 days : 6 Euros/day per adult; 3 Euros/day per child (14-17 years), including autumn transatlantic cruises. There is no service charge for children under the age of 14. Caribbean and North America cruises : 12 US dollars/day per adult; 6 US dollars/day per child (under 18 years old), including spring transatlantic cruises. South America cruises : 9 US dollars/day per adult; 4,50 US dollars/day per child (under 18 years old), including spring transatlantic cruises. South Africa cruises : 6 US dollars/day per adult; 3 US dollars/day per child (under 18 years old) Positioning cruises : - heading to South Africa : 6 Euros/day per adult; 3 Euros/day per child (under 18 years old) - coming from South Africa : 6 US dollars/day per adult; 3 US dollars/day per child (under 18 years old)" This sign of appreciation, valid on all ships in the MSC Cruises fleet is of course optional. Therefore, passengers may freely decide whether to increase or decrease it, communicating their decision to the Accounting Office before 22.00 of the last day. That Office is at your disposal for further information. For your convenience, should you give no indication to change the amount; the sum will automatically be debited to your final extras account.
